We've been fans of Alex Neri for a few decades now, and after coming across his late 2021 deep, Italo house EP on Slow Life, were encouraged when he agreed to remix the Danny Tenaglia / Tarantella Hooj 100 release, DATAR : ' B '.
True to form, Alex has managed to combine the driving bassline / big drums funk of the original with the warm, spacey synth textures of classic Italian dream house from the early 90's, all whilst sounding v much ready for 2022 dancefloors.
We also became aware of a booty version of Peace Division / Trancetter's mini classic 'Roaches' doing the rounds / getting some heavyweight plays, and eventually tracked down the perps, Mexican heavyweight Dj Issac and co-conspirator, Militia. The offending weapon is included.

If you're expecting Sasha's trademark progressive house/trance on his latest release, you will be sorely disappointed. Pivoting from-and deliberately not creating the status quo of electronic music-Sasha curates a lavish landscape that delves into avant-garde and "anti-dance dance music' territories with this stunning release of lush ambient soundscapes, surrealist breakbeats, subterranean techno, and laid back downtempo cuts. This is a deep, contemplative music you can dance to, sort of. DAS VILLAIN
